StreetHearts Animal Rescue strives to save and aid animals from situations of abandonment, neglect, abuse and injury. They focus on street intercession, medical help, rescue placement, fostering and finding forever homes.

StreetHearts Animal Rescue was founded in Flint, Michigan in 2014 by a retired military police officer who started doing rescue on his own time. He saw many animals suffering, but didn’t see enough people stepping up to help, so he decided to fill that gap himself. Over the years, the rescue grew and his drive inspired others to join. StreetHearts is now a 501c3 nonprofit with a network of fosters, volunteers, transporters, and patrons.

Through years of street rescue, they have established themselves as a rescue who will answer the tough calls from both residents and law enforcement. Genesee County Law Enforcement will often call StreetHearts when animal control is unavailable to help with animal situations. They rescue abused or injured animals in all weather and at all hours.
