Sonic Youth‘s co-founder, Thurston Moore has canceled his U.S. book tour, due to illness. He was scheduled to tour through England and Scotland.

Moore posted online that the decision came from the advice of his doctors. He noted that he had a “a longstanding health condition” that has “become rather, and consistently, debilitating.”

His new book, Sonic Life, will be out October 24. The publication follows his life in New York and chronicles how he co-founded the band, Sonic Youth.
