Nikki Sixx, Rob Zombie, John 5, and Tommy Clufetos have teamed up to form the new side project L.A. RATS. Blabbermouth reported the band formed to record a cover of the 1962 Lucky Starr evergreen, “I’ve Been Everywhere,” for the soundtrack to Netflix’s new Liam Neeson movie, The Ice Road. The soundtrack, featuring, “I’ve Been Everywhere,” is out today (Friday, May 21st).

The soundtrack also features contributions from John Carter Cash & Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, Jason Isbell, Tim McGraw, the Cadillac Three, Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, and Mark Collie with Allison Moorer.

Not too long ago, we asked Rob Zombie why his career and fanbase has been able to not only survive — but thrive — the way it has: “I’ve always tried to do everything based upon, like, what I like and how I think it should be, and never trying to give in to, like, what’s hip and what’s cool, and what’s the thing of the moment, or what someone says I should do. It’s been amazing and I think that maybe the fans know that. They never feel like they’re being cheated.”
