Beck will bring his symphonic reinvention of his music back to North American stages this summer. The 8-time Grammy winner will perform a series of nine concerts spread across eight cities, where he will be accompanied by local orchestras. The shows will feature Beck’s regular backing musicians – featuring guitarist-bassist Jason Falkner, keyboardist Roger Manning, and drummer Joey Waronker – performing alongside orchestras from each tour stop. During his similar jaunt last year, Beck focused his performances on songs that he created alongside his father, composer David Campbell, whose string arrangements on Sea Change and Morning Phase inspired these series of orchestral shows. Beck’s brief tour gets underway on July 15 in New Haven, and finishes up on July 29 in San Diego, with a high-profile two-night stand at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall on July 18-19, as well as a stop at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on July 27. Tickets for all performances will go on sale next Friday at 10 a.m. local time. (Rolling Stone)
