Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

I understand some things in life are “fake”. If you are asking yourself what is Gunther talking about when he says fake? Well let me tell you. Lets say you are watching a Red Wings game on TV, that’s fake. You are not at the game you are looking at a television that is displaying the game. If you download a casino game on your phone and you hit the jackpot, guess what that is also fake. When you dress up at Cat Woman for Halloween, you are not Cat Woman. I could go on for days but I think you get me point. When something is “fake” that does not make it bad or uncool. Think about it, I don’t want to drag around a seven foot sword and fight monsters in real life but I will do it in a video game. With all that said I do not have a time machine (thanks for sticking around and reading this blog I am getting to a point with all of my ramblings.) I have seen a ton of cool concerts in my lifetime like Boston, Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, AC/DC ex. But because of my age I missed a ton of great bands like The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and Led Zeppelin. So how am I going to see them? Holograms!!!! Last weekend Ronnie James Dio made an appearance (hologram) at Germany’s Wacken Open Air Festival and a few years ago Tupac was a hologram at Coachella. I know it is not the real thing but I would love to see some bands that I missed out on because of members passing away or groups breaking up. Below is a cool article from ultimateclassicrock.com about the whole hologram thing give it a look.
